Bonnie Ivey

Bonnie has been transferring thoughts and imaginings to paper since childhood. Graduating from the University of Manitoba's School of Fine Arts, Bonnie continued studies through workshops and has taught children and adults. Northern Ontario's forests and waters are her wellspring of inspiration. A draughtsman at heart, she often combines drawing media with paint. She has had numerous one-person exhibitions. Although she does not do painting commissions, she is currently doing book illustrations. This artist contributed several designs to the Chapleau Quatrain Mural Project, thus discovering the joy of working in large scale. Other projects involve illustration. Her travelling exhibition "Encounters with Christ" includes two dozen scenes from the New Testament. This show has travelled to twenty venues, from the Prairies to the Maritimes. Images from this series have been published and travelled the globe. Contact Information: |
